Turning 9 Months Old!

Alice turned 9 months old this week.  Can you believe it??  She is such a big girl!  One thing we have noticed that is a very funny sign of the times is that, while Alice likes to play with telephones (as I'm sure we all did as children), she does not mimic us by putting the phone up to her ear.  As you can see by the following photos, Alice's Daddy and Mommy must be big text messagers!:

Alice continues to enjoy taking baths.  Here she is, looking cute in her bathrobe and showing off her standing up skills!:
Alice is now well into her 9 month clothes and is very helpful in preparing her smaller clothes to ship to her soon-to-be friend in Minnesota.  Only 3 more months until she is born!:

Alice is now a crawling master!  She prefers standing to crawling, and uses crawling merely as a means to get to an ottoman/sofa, etc that she can pull herself up onto.  She really dislikes seeing anything stacked up, so as you can see from these three photos, a stack of cups is a sure bet to get her to crawl over, and knock it down!:

Here is a link to a few more photos from the past couple of weeks.  Enjoy!

Movin' and Shakin'

I think its safe to say that we now have a crawler.  Alice is not sprinting across the entire house (yet!) but she is definitely starting to move around on her own.

She has a crawling style that is all her own.  She moves around with one leg tucked underneath her bum, this makes it very easy for her to pop up into a sitting position once she reaches her destination, but also makes her move in circles on the hard wood floors!

She also has a new game called "hold stuff in my mouth".  You can see in some bonus pics in the web album, she has found a replacement for sucking on her fingers.  She really likes these little stacking cups, but is not a fan of stacking!

She is also quite fond of sitting on Daddy's shoulders... and sitting crossed legged on Mommy's head!

As always... bonus pics on the web album
