Secret Gardens and Autumn in Salem

As usual, we have been having lots of fun around here as September has wound to a close.

Alice and Mommy have enjoyed spending time in a local "secret garden" in Salem we recently discovered:

Alice is getting very skilled on her bike.  Here she is, tearing up the basketball court down the street from our house:
Here is our little "ballerina" showing off her moves!:

A favorite weekly activity of Alice and Mommy is visiting the Peabody Essex Museum each Wednesday morning, for the story time called "PEM Pals."  Here is Alice, listening intently to "I Want My Hat Back"!
After the story each week, the kids do an art activity related to the story.  This particular week, the kids made hats.  Here is Alice, modeling her creation:

And speaking of art activities, Alice has begun to draw people, both by hand and electronically.  Here is her drawing of Mommy on the iPad:
Happy Fall!  Here is a link to these photos.

Joey Visits Salem

Daddy and Mommy's friend, Joey, recently came to Boston for a work conference and spent the weekend with us in Salem checking out the town!

Here is Alice, getting ready for Joey's arrival in her play kitchen:
Joey won over Alice's heart with a copy of "It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown"!

We all enjoyed Joey's visit very much!
Hope you will have a chance to visit again soon, Joey!  Here are the rest of the photos from our visit.

Apple Picking with the Baps!

We recently spent the day with Auntie Chris, Uncle Dan and Baby Mae for our annual tradition of visiting Brooksby Farm for picking apples and choosing pumpkins.  It is one of our most fun Autumn traditions!

We were excited to see that Baby Mae is starting to practice walking!
Alice and Mae enjoyed checking out the animals:
As usual, Alice loved having a chance to hold Mae.  As usual, Mae was less excited about that than Alice was!
Alice especially loved picking the Apples.  She was so proud of the responsibility of carrying the bag.
She took every chance she could to sneak apples off the tree and bite into them right in the middle of the orchard!

She was excited to pick out her annual pumpkin!
We really enjoyed our visit to the Farm this year!  Here are the rest of the photos from our fun day.

Happy Wedding Day, Leah and Nicolas!

If you have been following this blog for a while, you might remember Leah, who used to work with Mommy at Lantern.  Well, today she got married!  We were so honored to be there to celebrate the big day with Leah and Nicolas.

Here are some great shots from the ceremony on one of the new parks in Downtown Boston:

Beautiful bride!:

Exchanging rings...
and a kiss!
Yay, married!
Everyone wrote Leah and Nicolas messages of advice and well wishes:
Leah surprised Nicholas with a video during the reception, revealing to him that she was surprising him with a honeymoon to Sri Lanka!
