Since Christmas, it seems that Alice is growing and changing so fast, it is hard to keep up with it all! We are all having lots of fun with her, each and every day. We have had a busy few weeks - here are some of Alice's highlights:
We attended Lisa's cousin Jen's wedding shower. Here is Alice, playing with a balloon:
Scott bought a cable that connects the computer to the TV, so here we are skyping with Auntie Vicky and Miranda - lifesize!
While Alice is still nursing, she now eats three "real" meals a day as well. She loves fruit! Here is a photo of her, still learning to love her vegetables!
She just moved into her size 6-9 and 9 month clothes. Here she is showing off her new 9 month pajamas from Auntie Bethany and Uncle CJ. Such a fashionable baby!:
Now that Alice is soooo close to crawling, we are trying to give her some time to hang out in her play area with bare knees and feet so that her clothing won't hinder her efforts. It's too bad that it is not warmer out right now, or this amount of time would not be so limited! Look at that big baby!:
Alice has the crawling form mastered. She just needs to get the forward motion going, and then she will be off! Here she is, trying her best!:
Daddy found a really neat item at the store recently for Alice. It is a pacifier with a mesh "sucker" so that we can put any sort of food in the pacifier and Alice can gnaw on it and get the flavor without any risk of choking. Here are Alice and Daddy, sharing an apple:
Additionally, she has started to stand herself up, if she is playing in her crib or when she is playing in the front room, against the ottoman. We haven't gotten a photo or video of that, but it is sure to follow soon!
Here is a link to the rest of the photos from the past couple of weeks. Enjoy!

Alice turns 8 Months Old! (and shows off her teeth!)
Alice turned 8 months old today. How did this happen? This year is flying by! She is reaching new milestones every day, and we are having so much fun on this journey with her. This month, she and Duckie finally made up. (You might remember that beginning at 5 months or so, she cried lots when we brought out Duckie for her monthly photos!). Today, she had lots of hugs and kisses for Duckie. Also, we got a couple of great photos showing off her new bottom teeth. Enjoy!
Here is a link to the rest of the photos from her 8 month birthday! We got some really cute and funny ones this time! :)

Alice Loves Music!
From very early on, Alice has always enjoyed music very much. Anyone who has visited our house knows that she is a big fan of the"Toddler Tunes" channel on our TV. Also, you might remember that even when she was just a week old, there were clear indications that she LOVED the song "Jai Ho" from Slumdog Millionaire! :) Now that her personality is becoming more animated, she dances whenever she hears a beat, and when Toddler Tunes is on, she points at the screen and bobs her head (only to the songs she likes - she is very discerning!). Here are some recent photos of her enjoying music.

Alice's First Lantern Financial Holiday Party!
On January 10, we hosted the annual Lantern Financial holiday party at our house. Alice was her usual social self and enjoyed visiting with everyone very much. It was lots of fun to visit and catch up with several of our former interns. We all enjoyed so much good food and sweet desserts, it seemed that everyone rolled home that night!
Leah knit a gorgeous blanket for Alice (and scarves for Lisa and Scott!) for Christmas! Here she is presenting it to Alice. Alice loves it and it is really helping to keep her nice and cozy as she sleeps at night. Thanks so much Leah! We love our gifts!
Here is a link to all of the photos from the party - thanks for coming everyone, and thanks for all that you have done to help Lantern succeed! We wish you a happy and successful 2010!

Big Girl Crib!
Now that Alice is so close to crawling, rolling over and wiggling like crazy and sitting up with ease, we figured that it is about time to lower her crib down so that she won't fall out when she figures out how to pull herself up in it. Here she is, enjoying the new vantage point!

Happy New Year 2010!
Happy New Year! We had a wonderful New Year's Eve holiday, and so far, 2010 has been great. Since Scott and Lisa had the week between Christmas and New Year's Day off from work, the three of us spent a couple of nights down in Marion, celebrating with Uncle Dan and Auntie Chris. Here are some fun photos from the trip. We hope you are having a fun 2010 so far as well!
Here is a link to all of the photos from our mini vacation. Thanks for inviting us, Uncle Dan and Auntie Chris - we had so much fun! Happy New Year, everyone!
